PSL Match Highlights Pakistan Super League 2025 (Match 4) – 13 April Quetta Gladiators vs Lahore Qalandars LQ  dominated QG by 79 runs

QG vs LQ (Match – 4) – Highlights

In the 4th match of the Pakistan Super League 2025, held in Rawalpindi on April 13, Lahore Qalandars delivered a commanding performance to secure a 79-run victory over Quetta Gladiators. Batting first, Lahore posted an imposing total of 219 for 6, with Fakhar Zaman leading the charge with a brilliant 67 off just 39 deliveries. Quetta, in response, faltered in the chase and was bowled out for 140 in 16.2 overs. Fakhar’s explosive knock at the top earned him the Player of the Match award as the Qalandars dominated both with the bat and ball to claim a resounding win.

Lahore Qalandars put on a batting masterclass, racking up 219 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman set the tone with a dazzling 67 off 39 balls, striking 7 fours and 3 sixes at a brisk strike rate of 171.79. He was well supported by Abdullah Shafique and Daryl Mitchell, both of whom contributed valuable 37-run knocks at a rapid pace. The real fireworks came from Sam Billings, who blasted an unbeaten 50 off just 19 deliveries, hammering 4 fours and 4 sixes to propel Lahore to a massive total. Despite a few quick wickets in the middle, the Qalandars maintained their aggressive tempo throughout the innings, finishing with an impressive run rate of 10.95.

Akeal Hosein was the pick of the bowlers for QG, claiming 2 wickets for 40 runs in his 4-over spell. Abrar Ahmed also chipped in with 2 wickets while giving away 33 runs at a respectable economy of 8.25.

Usman Tariq bowled with control, taking 1 wicket for 31 in his 4 overs. However, the rest of the attack was expensive — Mohammad Amir went wicketless and leaked 46 runs, while Faheem Ashraf conceded 49 runs in just 3 overs for a single scalp. Shoaib Malik bowled one over and was taken for 16 runs, highlighting the challenges United faced in trying to slow down the Qalandars’ run flow.

Chasing a steep target of 220, Quetta Gladiators crumbled under pressure and were bowled out for just 140 in 16.2 overs, falling short by 79 runs. Their innings got off to a disastrous start, with the top three — Saud Shakeel, Finn Allen, and Hasan Nawaz — all dismissed cheaply, each scoring just a single run or less.

Kusal Mendis provided a brief counterattack with a fiery 28 off 14, while Rilee Rossouw led the scoring with an explosive 44 from just 19 balls, smashing 4 fours and 4 sixes. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to offer much resistance. Faheem Ashraf chipped in with 21, but the lower order quickly folded under Lahore’s relentless bowling. The Gladiators’ chase never gained momentum, and they ultimately succumbed to a heavy defeat.

Shaheen Shah Afridi led from the front for LQ, conceding just 6 runs in his 2 overs while picking up 2 early wickets to set the tone. Rishad Hossain was the standout bowler, finishing with impressive figures of 3 for 31 in his full quota of 4 overs.

Asif Afridi also took 2 wickets in his 2.2 overs. Sikandar Raza kept things tight in the middle overs, returning economical figures of 2 for 12 in 3 overs. While Haris Rauf was a bit expensive, giving away 35 runs in 3 overs, he still managed to pick up a crucial wicket. Jahandad Khan had a tough outing, conceding 34 runs in just 2 overs, but Lahore’s bowling unit overall ensured a comprehensive 79-run victory.

At Mohali, the pitch is usually very true: good, equal assistance for batters and bowlers. There should be a nice bounce, which will help batters to play their shots and then will start to help the spinners as the match goes on.

The weather at Mohali is expected to be warm with temperatures around 30°C, with clear skies and little to no chance of rain. The humidity levels will be moderate, making conditions slightly uncomfortable for the players, especially during the later stages of the match.

Historically, Mohali has seen some high-scoring matches, with totals over 180 being chased down comfortably. The highest total recorded here in IPL history is 211/4, while the lowest chase was 132, showcasing the potential of this venue.

PSL Match Prediction Pakistan Super League 2025 Islamabad United vs Peshawar Zalmi Match 5 April 14 – Can PZ get their first win in this fixture

IU vs PZ Match Analysis

Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will play each other in the Pakistan Super League 2025’s 5th game on April 14, 2025, at 09:00 PM BST at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.

Islamabad United will aim to consolidate their position on the points table as they take on Peshawar Zalmi in the fifth match of the season. Coming off a dominant win against the Lahore Qalandars, IU’s players will be riding high on confidence.

Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi will be eager to bounce back after their defeat to the Quetta Gladiators and secure their first points of the campaign. PZ will enter this match under pressure, following a lackluster performance from both their batting and bowling units in the previous game. Having lost twice to Islamabad United last season, the team will be determined to deliver a stronger showing and turn their fortunes around.

IU vs PZ Team Preview & Squads

Islamabad United

Islamabad United defeated the Lahore Qalandars by a resounding 8-wicket margin to start their campaign. The bowlers set the tone by restricting the opposition to a modest total, which the batters chased down with ease. Captain Shadab Khan will be eager for his team to maintain this momentum and secure back-to-back wins to stay at the top of the points table.

The side will be looking for a solid start from openers Sahibzada Farhan and Andries Gous. Colin Munro, buoyed by his match-winning innings in the previous game, will aim to anchor the middle order alongside Azam Khan and Agha Salman. With the likes of Shadab Khan, Jason Holder, and Imad Wasim lower down the order, the team boasts plenty of batting depth.

Naseem Shah and Riley Meredith were impressed with the new ball, and this will be key to delivering early wickets again. Jason Holder, coming off a four-wicket haul, will be expected to maintain pressure during the middle overs alongside Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, and Muhammad Shahzad.

Peshawar Zalmi

Peshawar Zalmi endured a heavy defeat in their opening match, falling to Quetta Gladiators by 80 runs after a disappointing performance with the ball. The team’s captain will be particularly concerned about the lack of form among the batters. With a tough challenge ahead against one of the tournament’s top sides, Zalmi must deliver a much-improved all-round performance to get their first points on the board.

Babar Azam failed to make an impact in the last outing, and the team will look to him for a solid start alongside Saim Ayub. The middle order misfired, so runs will be expected from Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Mohammad Haris, and Hussain Talat. In the lower middle order, the side will count on Max Bryant, Mitchell Owen, and Alzarri Joseph to provide stability and late-innings firepower.

With Islamabad United in strong form, early breakthroughs will be crucial, and the side will rely on Saim Ayub and Mohammad Ali with the new ball. Alzarri Joseph, who had a tough outing last game, will need to step up in the middle overs, supported by Ali Raza. Sufiyan Muqeem and Hussain Talat must focus on containing the scoring to keep the team in contention for a win.

PSL Match Prediction | Pakistan Super League 2025 | Islamabad United vs Peshawar Zalmi | Match 5 | April 14 – Can PZ get their first win in this fixture? Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi

This location has hosted high-scoring competitions. Run chases are simple because the wicket is good to bat on. The risk of defending a total would not be attractive to either side.

On April 14, the skies over Rawalpindi will be clear.

We anticipate a fantastic cricket match in which batsmen may use their strokes fearlessly on this pitch. For the bowlers, there is hardly much on this track. The team batting first will need to score 200 runs to feel secure, as the average first-inning score is 158 runs.

PSL Match Highlights Pakistan Super League 2025 (Match - 3) – 12 April Karachi Kings vs Multan Sultans In a thrilling match, KK got the victory against MS.

KK vs MS (Match – 3) – Highlights

In a thrilling encounter at Karachi, the Karachi Kings pulled off a stunning chase to defeat the Multan Sultans by 4 wickets with four balls to spare in the 3rd match of the Pakistan Super League 2025. Chasing a daunting target of 235, the Kings were powered by a breathtaking inning from James Vince, who smashed a blistering 101 off just 43 deliveries, earning him the Player of the Match award. Vince’s explosive knock laid the foundation for the successful chase, supported by timely contributions from the middle order. Despite Multan Sultans’ imposing total of 234/3, built on the back of aggressive batting, Karachi’s relentless pursuit ensured a memorable victory in front of their home crowd.

Multan Sultans posted a mammoth total of 234/3 in their 20 overs, thanks to a sensational unbeaten century from skipper Mohammad Rizwan, who anchored the innings with 105 off 63 balls, laced with 9 fours and 5 sixes. While Shai Hope and Usman Khan fell cheaply, Kamran Ghulam provided a quick-fire 36 off 19 to keep the momentum going. The innings truly caught fire in the death overs, courtesy of Michael Bracewell’s explosive unbeaten 44 off just 17 balls, which included 5 fours and 3 sixes at a staggering strike rate of 258.82. With 22 extras, including 20 wides, Karachi Kings’ bowlers struggled for discipline, allowing Multan to surge past the 230 mark with a strong finish.

Karachi Kings’ bowling unit endured a tough outing as they conceded 234 runs in 20 overs, struggling to contain the Multan Sultans’ aggressive batting. Adam Milne had a particularly expensive spell, leaking 60 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket, at an economy of 15.00. Hasan Ali and Abbas Afridi managed to pick up a wicket each but were expensive as well, giving away 44 and 53 runs respectively. Khushdil Shah was the most economical of the lot, finishing with figures of 1/33 in his four overs. Fawad Ali and Arafat Minhas also went wicketless, both conceding runs at over 9 runs per over. Overall, the Kings’ bowlers struggled with discipline, bowling 7 wides and a no-ball, which added to their woes as Multan posted a formidable total.

Chasing a massive target of 235, Karachi Kings delivered a stunning batting performance to seal a memorable 4-wicket win with four balls to spare. James Vince was the standout performer, blazing his way to a sensational 101 off just 43 deliveries, smashing 14 fours and 4 sixes at a phenomenal strike rate of 234.88. He was well-supported by Khushdil Shah, who anchored the latter half of the innings with a composed yet aggressive 60 off 37 balls. Tim Seifert gave the innings an explosive start with a quick 32 off 16, while David Warner chipped in briefly with a 12-run cameo. Despite a mini-collapse in the middle, Karachi kept up with the asking rate, and the calm finishing touch from Irfan Khan and Abbas Afridi ensured they reached the target in 19.2 overs. The win was a masterclass in high-pressure chasing, headlined by Vince’s electrifying century.

Multan Sultans’ bowlers were unable to defend a massive total as Karachi Kings chased down 235 with remarkable composure and power. Akif Javed was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3/41 in his four overs and providing key breakthroughs, including the wickets of Seifert, Shan Masood, and Khushdil Shah. Usama Mir was the most economical, finishing with 1/30 in his four overs and bowling tightly in the middle overs. However, the rest of the attack struggled under pressure. David Willey had a forgettable spell, conceding 40 runs in just two overs at a steep economy of 20.00. Chris Jordan also leaked runs heavily, going for 48 in 3.2 overs. Michael Bracewell took a wicket but was expensive, and Shahid Aziz’s two overs went for 32. Despite the early inroads, the Sultans couldn’t stem the flow of runs as James Vince’s brilliance overshadowed their bowling efforts.
